Anyone who loves the diversity and character of old industrial cities will appreciate this apartment, where modern furnishings celebrate the beauty of weathered surfaces. In this project, the 4M team balanced industrial rawness, corrosion, and rough textures with soft lighting, smooth finishes, and natural materials. The result is an unconventional interior that reflects light as dramatically as polished steel.
Apartment with modern furniture and interesting ceiling design

Unit 2B on Warple Way sits on a London street known for recording studios where Florence and the Machine, Noah and the Whale, and Amy Winehouse have recorded music. Here, 4M transformed an office space into a modern home using unconventional materials such as micro-concrete and metal powder.
Apartment with modern furniture in London

The apartment was designed for a Londoner born in Kosovo and his American wife, who wanted an interior where glamour meets industrial character. Corroded metal surfaces dominate the scheme, creating a warm, abstract backdrop. The 4M team combined cement, cold metal, and wood, experimenting with micro-concrete for sculptural sinks, bathroom surfaces, and kitchen elements. Panels were finished with metal powder coatings and acid treatments to create an oxidized look.
Large ceiling panels appear to float in the air

Both visually striking and functional, hundreds of ceiling panels were cut in three different sizes to create a floating ceiling plane. The irregular surfaces conceal lights and speakers, while the high ceilings gave the designers room to be inventive with the space.
